A Garden Table

Thank you God for sun and showers.  Thank you God for each lovely flower.  Thank you for each stately tree.  Through all these, You Speak to me.

Hi Friends,

After doing a lot of work in the garden, I decided to do a little tablescape under my Cinderella arbor.  It is very shady in this spot surrounded by beautiful trees and comfortable shade.

I have wonderful foliage in this area and it makes for a comfortable spot.

I am using my very favorite salad plates gifted to me by my best friend. Plates are Williams Sonoma.

My sweet little butterfly chair fits well with this table.

As a foundation I am using a simple beige cloth and green napkins.

This is my favorite plate in the collection…the colors…this beautiful hummingbird…works for this casual table but could be used in the most formal table. This is true for the entire collection.

I have made a plate stack using my pink dinner plates and matching salad plates.

I am so excited.  This is the first REAL flowers I have had (except from my garden) since March 1.  I made a short trip to the Fresh Market and I was not disappointed.  These doubled pink lilies combined with these purple tea roses, hydrangea and wonderful greenery were perfect with these plates.

…and you should smell how beautiful they smell!

The tea glasses were a gift from years ago.  They each have a colored base that seems to match the individual plate.

I had a little one in the garden that looks just like him.

The quality of these plates is so beautiful.  You can see they have a little gold band.  The butterfly looks like it could fly right off the plate.

Totally in love………

  1. Dianne, your garden table with the butterfly is truly beautiful. The floral arrangement is stunning, and you were most fortunate to be able to buy these lovely blooms. I adore the WS salad plates, I have them as well. The Cinderella arbor is a perfect backdrop for this gorgeous tablesetting. Have a lovely Tuesday my friend!

  2. Thank you Pam. The bamboo flat wear is about 40 years old. Thank you for your enduring friendship.

  3. Such a lovely tablescape in your beautiful setting. It does feel so nice to have fresh flowers and you have made a lovely arrangement. I love your pretty plates and your vintage flatware. The glasses are also very pretty.
Your garden spot looks so inviting and pretty.
    Wishing you a lovely week.
