Summer Roses 2023

“The Lord has done great things for us and we rejoiced.”  Psalm 126:3

Hi friends,

Opening the door to my back porch and garden today, I was amazed at the beauty in my garden.  Beautiful, fragrant summer blooms from my garden is almost more than I can believe. Seven years ago I began my blog as a tribute to my mother.  I started my flower garden about the same time with just a few plants.  Mother had the most beautiful gardens and I transplanted many flowers from her garden.  This is the seventh anniversary of Inspired by Joy.   This blog  keeps me connected to her in a way that I can’t describe.   I hope you will enjoy my beautiful roses.

Beautiful, fragrant summer blooms……

David Austin   “Parade Day Rose”

I set a table behind this beautiful rose and used one of Mother’s lace tablecloths.

All of these roses are David Austin roses.

“Burst of Joy”

I love these English roses.  Their petal counts range from singles with five petals to lavish doubles with up to 200 petals.

This is one of my climbers.  You can see how many buds it has.  I can expect many more blooms.

“Thomas A. Becket”

A beautiful butterfly seems to like this rose also.

Every time I would visit Mother, she would want me to walk with her and see all her beautiful flowers.  I find myself doing the same with my family and friends.  In looking for my Mother’s garden, I found my own.

Thank you for your visit.

  Dianne

  1. Congratulations on your blogging anniversary. The roses are gorgeous and the roses in front on your Mom’s lace tablecloth are stunning!
