The garden is a place where I sense God’s presence. It’s a place where dewdrops settle and butterflies gather to witness the miracles of God’s creation.
Hi friends,
We had one pretty day this week and I set a table in the garden. My inspiration for this table is the old fashioned snowball viburnum. My SIL, Dora, has ten or twelve of these bushes in her backyard. They produce masses of large , pure white, snowball- like flower clusters that make for a showy display. They are exquisite in floral arrangements. Come join me in my garden.
I don’t have lots blooming but the peonies and other roses are showing signs of new blooms.
My centerpiece is entirely made up of these gorgeous snowballs. I found this watering can several years ago and it seemed the perfect vessel to carry these snowballs. If I said I arranged them, that simply would not be true. I just put them in this watering can and let them fall naturely.
This is a table for two. Don’t you love how these beautiful bowls look on this table. They look like they were made for this tablecloth. I am imagining pasta with chicken marsala, mushrooms, spinach and Italian bread.
These aqua plates are by HOME , the salad bowls are by Certified International called Country Fresh and the tablecloth is by Cynthia Rowley. The watering can is also Certified International.
I’ve used green napkins with pearl napkin rings and these little footed glasses given to me by a friend.
There’s a story about these yellow chairs. Bob and I are trying to downsize a bit and we had taken three wing chairs to Habitat. I had to hold my breath and not look as they took them away. Sitting outside was these yellow chairs. In a few short minutes, four of the six were sold. Bob was in line with others wanting these two. He prevailed and they look sweet at my table.
This sweet little pillow says it perfectly. Home is wherever the two of us are.
Thank you for your visit and happy gardening.

Happy May, Dianne! Your garden table is so lovely. My snowball viburnums are finished their blooming, but I can certainly enjoy the beauty of those blooms in your pretty watering can. The floral tablecloth and dishes are perfect for your garden setting. I love the yellow chairs. Wishing you a lovely first week of May 💛
