Bringing Biltmore Home

” I will praise Him in every season.”   Psalm 146:2

Hi Friends,

I have often said that Biltmore is my second home.  Bob and I have spent many wonderful hours there enjoying picnics, walking through the gardens and celebrating holidays.  Fall is my favorite season there.  When I realized there was new stoneware called Biltmore Harvest, I thought I would just bring a few pieces home with me.  Join me on my back porch for a little Biltmore Harvest.

Starting with a Biltmore throw as my tablecloth, I set a table for four using my new Biltmore Harvest stoneware.  This is a pattern made exclusively for Belk stores.  I kept watching them until they were marked down a bit.

I have the dinner plates and salad plates.  Each salad plate has a different bird which I have often seen on the estate.   This includes turkeys, ruffed grouse, quail, pheasant and ducks.  You will notice each salad plate is designed with one of these beautiful fowl.

I thought these blue napkins brought out the blue in the plates.  The stunning dinner plate from Biltmore is detailed with an ornate border and glazed finish.

I see all kinds of ducks at Biltmore.

If you sit at this table, you will need one of these throws.  The temperatures have really dropped today.

Gold flatware, gold trimmed tea glasses and gold napkin rings pull it all together.  The centerpiece has dried hydrangeas from my garden, garden grasses and a few faux flowers.

My gold pheasant and my collection of Biltmore books have been around for a long time.

The two-sided Biltmore throw is really beautiful. The small silver birds belonged to Mother.  I try to put something  that belonged to her on every post.

Thank you for joining me as I bring Biltmore Harvest to my home.

  1. Dianne, Biltmore Harvest is beautiful and is stunning on the plaid throw. I love autumn and all the color that it brings. We have our first frost this morning. How wonderful that you live so close to the Biltmore and can visit often and enjoy seeing it in all seasons. Your table sets the perfect autumn mood. Blessings my friend!
