“In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams as beautiful.” -Abram l. Urban
Happy August dear friends,
Every once in a while Bob will bring me a bouquet of flowers for absolutely no reason. I am always so happy he has remembered me this way. I immediately look at the colors and decide what container I want to use. I then begin to think about how beautiful a table would be in the garden and so it begins.
A table for two using a beautiful flowing tablecloth. Don’t you just love these bright colors!
I chose this brown container and used placemats that would compliment the container.
Oh yes, Bob had to carry chairs from the kitchen because they just matched perfectly and the pineapple represents hospitality. I’m afraid he will think twice before bringing more flowers. Maybe not?
The pink napkins bring out the bright pink in the tablecloth.
I used my beautiful aqua plates and the Williams Sonoma salad plates given to me by a friend about four years ago. This particular plate is my favorite. The humming birds have loved my compact roses. I tried to catch them on camera but they are so quick.
Oh yes, a little flying rabbit also….I see lots of real ones in the garden, nature’s gifts to me. The birds seem to know I am their friend. I am indeed their friend. Their beautiful songs are a joy to my heart.
The little silver birds belonged to Mother and the glasses from my MIL. These are the things I cherish because I cherished them.
Another special day in the garden filled with sentiment and dreams. Thank you for joining me.

Dianne, how sweet of Bob to bring you flowers “just because”. They are beautiful and are perfect with your table setting. I love the cloth and its pretty colors. Your garden setting is lovely my friend!
