Hi Friends,
Please join me in praying for the people of Ukraine. I found it a bit hard to write about JOY as my heart is heavy for these people but we must keep the JOY of the Lord in our hearts. I have been consumed with the horror of the war there. I pray for the Ukrainian people and their unbreakable spirit.
Bob and I just spent three weeks in Florida, Savannah, and Amelia Island. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s and low 80’s. It was a wonderful relaxing time. Returning home, I could hardly wait to see the mountains. My daffodils and helleborus were blooming when we arrived home. Bob laughed at my excitement to see them blooming. It was just a little prelude to Spring. I love the blues this time of year so I got busy and redid my table and added blue and white to my normal decorating scheme.
I set a table for four using blue and white. I have had these placemats forever but they were the perfect foundation for these aqua napkins and candlesticks and the deeper blue and white were a match with these bowls.
I made my way to Trader Joe’s for some spring blooms for a centerpiece. My cherub holding the bird stayed on the table. Can’t wait for birds to start their nesting. I am going to have my own blooms very soon. The tulips are appearing.
White roses, two varieties of lilies, a lot of filler and greenery arranged in my favorite vase finished the centerpiece. Aqua candles in crystal holders finished the look.
White plates and salad plates and blue/white bowls from Pier I years ago.
A spring wreath and salad bowl for my sideboard looks sweet with the table.
The swan represents simplicity, grace and beauty.
A little kitchen whimsey with AC linens and a rabbit in a water can!
Thank you for your visit.
Dianne
