I Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others. It is not self seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Hi Friends,
I have taken some time away from my blog. My brother was very sick in December. He is doing great now. Other things have had to take priority in my life so I hope I am back. I have set a Valentine table that Bob and I are enjoying. Love is really a many splendored thing. We love many people in our lives and they all add such Joy to our days. I hope you might join me today as I celebrate this month devoted to sharing our love.
A table for four using a winter tablecloth, red placemats and a tablestack using some very old but loved pieces.
These sweeet cherubs make a beautiful centerpiece. “Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.”
Year by year the complexities of this world grow more bewildering and each year I need all the more to seek peace and comfort in joyful simplicity. Creating a table or arranging flowers provides that simple Joy.
I have used these sweet little plates for Valentines for many years.
People need Joy as much as clothing. This Joy usually comes in simple things like the laughter of a child.
February arrives and I begin to think of the scent of roses, colors of pink and red, bowls of chocolate hearts, cherubs and love….a beautiful February afternoon.
This sweet cherub is holding a bird.
February has been cold and snowy here. The snow has been hanging around for over a week. Gratitude is the thread I weave into the fabric of my daily life and ask for a more grateful heart every day.
This beautiful vase was a gift from Dora and Gordon when they went to Ireland. They toured the House of Waterford Crystal and brought this beautiful Waterford vase to me.
My beautiful Tiffany candle holders was a gift from a friend years ago. They are from Tiffany’s of NY. They are probably 35 years old.
Valentines is the day to set aside for love. Where there is love there are always miracles!
We have to choose JOY. and LOVE!
“I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.” – Vincent Van Gogh
Thank you for Joining me today. Happy Valentines!
Dianne
Dianne, I had been so concerned about your brother and am so glad he is doing well. Your table is so beautiful and will be a bright spot on the cold days of winter. The cherubs are so very sweet and are a lovely centerpiece. I am happy to see your post, I have missed you. Stay warm and cozy on this January day ♥️
