“Easter is a promise to a world that needs JOY!”
Hi Friends,
Easter is here and there is much to rejoice about. We need HOPE and JOY and I am reminded that God’s promise to the world of salvation and love gets sweeter every day I live.
It is all about the cross. Cross given to me by Jenn the day we moved into this house,
My table is a combination of beloved items….several children’s plates that belong to Jenn, egg holders that belonged to Mother, gift from my best friend and these beautiful tulip plates that I bought from Pier I two years ago.
The centerpiece is a cookie jar that I converted to a vase to hold tulips and ranunculus. I wanted pink ranunculus or a mix of pastels but Trader Joe’s was running low on everything.
I wonder if Peter is listening to Mother.
Peter Rabbit’s mother is giving him special instruction about going into Mr. McGregor’s garden and reminded him of an accident his father had there.
The radishes and carrots were just so tempting to him and he eased under the gate… This plate from Jenn’s childhood.
For a few moments, he was enjoying the carrots and other veggies in the garden. This beautiful linen towel from a friend from Williams Sonoma.
The good news is that Peter was able to escape but lost his coat and came home famished. Mother gave him tea and sent him to bed. I know she was so happy to see him!
Beatrix Potter has blessed the world with her children’s books and stories.
Happy Easter Friends! Rejoice! It is time for JOY! HE IS RISEN!
