Mornings in the Springtime

God is Very Great  “My soul, bless the Lord!  Lord My God, You are very great; You are clothed with majesty and splendor.”  Psalm 104:1

Hi Friends,

Spring officially arrives this weekend.  “Mornings in the Spring-don’t you absolutely love them!”  Do you get up a little earlier?  Do you feel like God is looking down conducting His symphony of Creation.  In the Spring, I can’t wait to greet the rising sun, feel warmer temperatures, and hear the birds singing.  My table speaks to flowers blooming, birds singing, and the majesty and splendor of God’s Creation.

My Dining Room table is set for four in honor of Spring.  I started with blue placemats and my yellow plates as a foundation.

I started with a wreath as a centerpiece and then filled it full of  flowers.  I wanted it overflowing with flowers.  My garden is already providing joy to me.  Daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, Lenten roses, and many others are already blooming.

Using my blue napkins that match the placemats, I placed them between the yellow plate (Royal Doulton called Gordon Ramsay Maze)  and these beautiful salad plates handmade in Italy called Bizzirri.

One of my sweet birds landed in the flower arrangement.  My real birds are looking for nesting spots including the  wreath at the front door.

Our birds are such a source of enjoyment for us.  Bob keeps their feeders well supplied and we can look forward to seeing many bird families and hearing their sweet songs.  Lord we thank you!

These beautiful candlesticks belonged to my late MIL, Hazel Sharpe.  I love them so and I know she would be very happy to know they are on my table.

From season to season, from age to age, God is watching over us and He is delighting in His Creation.  God is Very Great!

Thank you for your visit.

  1. Amen and Amen, Dianne. Your table speaks beautifully of spring. The pastel blue and yellows are so pretty. Are the Italian salad plates new? They were the first thing I noticed and are so pretty. The centerpiece is perfect to welcome Spring! Wishing you a delightful week, my friend!
