The Power of Joy

“When we love, there is happiness and JOY.  Without love, darkness.  Joy is paradoxical.  When I learn of someone hurting, my heart immediately focuses on what I can do to ease their anxiety and distress–a phone call, a note, flowers or a prayer.  I always can light a candle,  think good thoughts, and I find I have more pep in my step.”  Alexandra Stoddard

Hi friends,

Happy Valentines 2021.  I have gathered together some of my favorite little plates and this sweet cherub to set a table for four.   It will be only me and my sweet husband.  I am preparing a little table on my kitchen island.  Last year we were on a beautiful island in the Bahamas.

The centerpiece is red roses, eucalypyus, ivy, and a few faux flowers to complete the look I was trying to create.  This vase looks exactly like the one on the salad plate.

This beautiful gift bag that I found in my collection could possibly hold a surprise for Bob.

Joy is contagious.  It is easy to transmit. We can be an oasis of peace and a pool of serenity that can ripple out to all those around us.

I have had these beautiful plates for many years and I always go to them for Valentines.  My centerpiece has a loose leaf that wants to get in the photo.

The red plate stack and cups are by “Home” and I think were purchased at Homegoods years ago.

Weeping may tarry for the night, but JOY comes with the morning.  Psalm 30:5

“The supreme happiness of life consists in the conviction that one is  loved.”-  Victor Hugo

“All you need is love.  But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.” –  Charles Schultz

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.” 1  Corinthians 13:13

May Love be the Heart of this Home!

Those who are capable of love are also capable of immense happiness and JOY.  May the gift of love, peace and JOY be yours.
