EnJOYing the Journey

So what about 2021?  We may not know what’s ahead but we know our God is all-knowing and all-powerful.  We know His word is faithful and true.  We know his grace is sufficient in our weakness.  And we know He is with us.

Hi friends,

I have a friend that says this to me every time  I leave her home “Enjoy the Journey.”   Those few words have meant so much to me over the years.  In these days of a pandemic, many of us have curtailed our activities to a very minimum.  I am so thankful for the words of my friend as they remind me to enjoy every day.  How has 2020 changed you?  God has reminded me of the importance of prayer and meditation,  the need for compassion, and  the need for patience.  And yes, He has reminded me how beauty can bring JOY to my day.   I have put a table together and we have enjoyed it so much.  Come along…

I return to the blues in January.  I have so many cardinals in my backyard and I am so enamored with them so I chose these sweet plates for my table.  I photographed the table at night.

I love this beautiful lantern which has been on the front porch.  Enough red to bring out the red in the plates.

The white napkins add a clean new look for the New Year.  The white plates are Pier I, the blue and white dinner plate is American Atelier “At Home” and  salad plates are Lenox “Winter Greetings”.

I have used my everyday flatware and Italian stemware.

The white tablecloth is topped with a blue and white Ralph Lauren topper.

These beautiful birds are the inspiration for this table.  I have some chickadees now but they are quick and a bit hard to photograph.  They are so precious.  I hope you are finding JOY on your journey.   I pray for a healthy and peaceful year for all of us.
