January Blues

As the psalmist writes, “Weeping may tarry for the night, but JOY comes with the morning.” Psalm 39:5  May we all reflect on recent experiences, lift our faces to the sky, and bask in the promise of better days.

Hi sweet friends,

As we move into the new year, I begin to long for color…sometimes white, sometimes lavender, sometimes pink and always blue. My sweet husband ran some errands and brought me a large bouquet of mixed flowers.  I was so pleased and I have enjoyed  them in numerous and happy ways.

I first arranged them in my favorite vase and put them by my bedside.

I added a little blue to our bed linens where there had been Christmas plaid.

I love these little plates that I found several years ago at Mast General Store. As you can see, I moved to the kitchen.

Every day I go through my grateful journal, reminding myself of how much I am thankful for.

“Sweet Grace”, my swan, reminds me of God’s amazing grace.  It lifts me up to just say those words.

This winter scene seems so appropriate with all the snow we have had.  It is snowing right now.

Many blessings….most of us have too many to count but I want to count them every day of my life.

Bob and I spend the mornings by the fire sipping our coffee.  The colors of Christmas have been replaced by January Blues.  Blessings,

Dianne
