“But the angel said to them, ‘Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great JOY that will be for all people.” Luke 2:10
The best gift I can give to Jesus is a life devoted to Him.
Hi friends,
I am going to do a little tour of our home. I think I have decorated every corner. I have even included the bedrooms. I am going to do my kitchen and dining room on my next post. Come along…..
When you enter my front door, my sitting room is on the right. I call this my whimsical tree.
Santa and his polar bear add a little more of a whimsical feeling.
I have a large foyer and love this tall Nutcracker.
Heading to my Great Room where most of our living takes place… this tree is decorated with many cherished ornaments including one of Maddie’s pacifiers.
One of my homemade Santas that was made for me years ago.
The vintage horse has been part of my decorating for about 35 years.
A stick doll…something rarely seen anymore.
This beautiful throw was a gift from my friend Connie. A view into my foyer.
The mantel is almost complete. I will add stockings and more greenery from my back yard before Christmas. We love the fire every morning so I wait a few days before Christmas to finish this completely.
My crystal trees that I have collected over the years. Bob gave me the poinsettia as a love gift. This is in my foyer.
This Christmas angel was Mother’s very favorite thing because my Dad gave it to her as a gift. She is on display every day of the year.
I have done a little decorating in my bedrooms. There is an alcove leading to the master bedroom and halls leading to the guest bedrooms. Our guest bedrooms are on one side of the house and the master on the other. Since everything is on one floor, this really does offer plenty of privacy.
This is a permanent arrangement. I just added a bow and berries and an old Santa. This is a little hallway leading to a guest bedroom and bath. A French door in this hallway leads to the back porch also.
Just added a throw and Santa to this bed..
I just added a Santa to the High Boy.
Who knows where you might find a stocking filled with bath and body products!
Alcove going into our Master bedroom. This special Santa was made by a friend. She and her husband raised sheep and she made this Santa using real wool for beard.
Just added a throw, pillows and skates…love tartan plaid!
This serves as a sitting area and both Bob and I both have office space behind these walls. I’ve added a tree and red truck and Christmas throws.
You can tell there is someone who really does work here. Bob is a consultant and still has clients.
This is another High Boy near my desk and I just added this cute skate. My desk is in this area.
Heading to another guest bedroom…..
A little hallway leading to another bedroom and guest bath.
Another cute Santa made by a friend. Old and cherished.
The bathroom has a few decorations.
I am going to do a little tour of my Dining areas and kitchen space in my next post.. I love this card…JESUS, the Wonderful One. That is what Christmas is all about. Thank you for coming to my Open House!
Dianne
Dianne, you have been like a busy elf! Your home is beautifully adorned for Christmas. There are so many beautiful details, everything is perfectly lovely. My favorites are those from your beloved mother and those that hold precious memories
Thank you precious friend. My heart is full of memories of both Mother and Dad. They loved Christmas.
