A Short Lookback

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.  It turns what we have into enough and more.  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.  It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.  Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Hi Friends,

I have been busy with one thing or the other and have neglected my blog.  I have done a lot of outside work trying to get my garden ready for winter.  I decided to look back at some of the Thanksgiving tables and vignettes that I have enjoyed putting together in the past.  I hope you might enjoy them also.

The bird was a gift from a friend when we moved into this house.

Velvet pumpkins were a gift from my friend Connie.  Hydrangeas from my garden.

These beautiful plates are from Williams Sonoma.  These beautiful placemats from Connie.

I love these sweet turkey plates.  I picked these up several years ago from Home Goods.

My everyday dishes look beautiful all dressed up for the season.

My ghost pumpkin got dressed up for this table also.

I hope you enjoyed my little trip down memory lane.  Thank you for joining me today.

Dianne

  1. Dianne, what a beautiful round-up of your lovely tables. Anyone would be blessed to sit down at any of these tables and enjoy food and conversation. Wishing you and yours a most wonderful Thanksgiving!
