On my Walk: The Dahlia Garden

God created the Earth and stood back to see….What more did it need?  Maybe some green trees.  It needed more color so He created all the flowers.

Hi friends,

I have joined a group of 25 women who want to eat more healthy and get in better physical condition.  Our first goals were to drink 64 ozs. of water each day, watch our carbs and start exercising.  I had quit my walking.  I am trying to do 10,000 steps every day.  Every day as I walk I pass my neighbor’s beautiful dahlia garden.  My Mother had so many beautiful dahlias and I remember her excitement at a new variety.  Dahlias are beautiful and have a striking appearance and are extremely popular.  They symbolize elegance, inner strength, creativity, change and dignity. Many people refer to the dahlia flower as the “Queen of the Autumn Garden”.   It blooms for prolonged periods of time compared to most other garden plants. I hope you enjoy.

  1. Dahlias are truly gorgeous and your photos are wonderful Dianne. My dahlias have not done as well this year, but I am seeing some blooms. Enjoy your walks and Happy Thursday!
