Flowers are a gift to this earth. They bring JOY to so many. Their elegance and delicate touches have us in awe and exhilaration. Flowers are the perfect reminder of the beauty of life.
Hi Friends,
As I wrote the words….flowers are the perfect reminder of the beauty of life….it was like I had just spoken to my own soul. However we frame it, the last six months have been challenging in many ways. Maybe that is why I seem fixated on flowers, birds, and my garden. Flowers really are the perfect reminder of the beauty of life. I hope these beautiful flowers from Biltmore might be a reminder to you also of the beauty of life.
Thank you for coming along again today…..
Zinnias blooming even before we entered the gate. I love this color.
The stillness and coolness of this pond added to the beauty of this day. I rarely see the water look so still.
“If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing Double Dahlias in his garden.” David W. Wolfe
It isn’t summer without hydrangeas but they are not all created equal. These are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.
Hydrangea has several different meanings. The one I choose for this particular time is perseverance…another word and symbol for our time.
With colorful, fragrant flowers, butterfly bush delights gardeners and pollinators!
A beautiful fountain near Cedric’s Tavern. There is an ice cream shop, benches, and moments for relaxation.
I believe this would be a big hardy hibiscus.
These are 8-12″ diameter blooms that are often referred to as “dinner plate hibiscus” and feature tissue-thin, ruffled petals and more suited to the landscape than being cut and placed in a vase.
“Some people, like flowers, give pleasure, just by being.” Ralph Waldo Emerson I am thankful for these people in my life.
“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful, they are sunshine, food and medicine to the soul.” Luther Burbank
I belong among the sunflowers.
Thank you for coming along on this trip to Biltmore. I hope my photos have brightened your day and put JOY in your heart.

Yes the flowers have brightened my morning. I have enjoyed your three Biltmore garden posts. The hydrangeas look like Invincibelle Spirit. Thank you for sharing the gift of flowers my friend!
