“For my thoughts are not your thoughts. and your ways are not my ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. “For as Heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
Hi Friends,
My garden is really coming alive with color, beauty and unfortunately big furry animals. I want to share my wonderful blooms with you… so come along. It sure has changed in the last week. It is such a Joy in my life.
This rose is called “Parade Day” because of its strongly fragranced swirls of bright white and fuchsia blooms.
This is a peony I transplanted from Mother’s. Bob named it “Little Thelma” for Mother.
The knockouts are beginning to bloom and there are lots of buds.
The white peonies are transplanted from Mother’s and are really special to me.
These are Lofos Compact Roses that I am using as filler in the garden.
Lantana is also a good filler around my larger plants. These are called Gem Ruby.
Bob and I love our birds and go to great lengths to keep them happy. We have had so many species visit. Beautiful male cardinal.
The female cardinal is equally beautiful. Now, here is where the story goes sideways. Two nights ago a big black bear came into the backyard and tore down our feeders. Our backyard is fenced in with black wrought iron. He apparently jumped the fence. We are now bringing the feeders in the house every night. Problem solved.
Thank you for taking this walk through the garden. My heart is a little lighter and happier when I am in the garden.
Dianne, the “parade day” rose is exquisite as are your peonies. How special that you have peonies from your mom’s home place. The bear episode is a little scary. Take care and have a joy-filled week!
