If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain. If I can ease one life the aching, or cool one pain, or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain. -Emily Dickinson
Hi friends,
I feel that a little beauty can always lift our spirits a bit. I am really challenged to put together pretty posts without fresh flowers. I always buy my flowers at Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s is one of the most popular places here so I have elected to stay away for a while. I am doing a little vignette with things around my house. Hope you will enjoy this short post and it might brighten your day.
I have set a table in front of my fireplace. I have had this white and gold box for years and decided to fill it with flowers. I added two candles with gold accents.
I bought this horse from a small gift shop many many years ago. It has always had a special place in my home.
I have two of these bird candle sticks but could only use one on this small table.
This sweet little vase is so precious and I use it often to hold a Peony bloom. I love how the bow is made into the vase.
Bob gave me this Willow Tree statue entitled Promise for one of our anniversaries.
I cannot tell you how many years I have had this vintage footed/ball solid brass candle holder. I envision Washington or Lincoln writing an important letter by the light of this candle.
I hope these pretties might bring you just a tad of JOY for this day. Just putting it together has lifted my spirits.
Beautiful vignette my sweet friend! I loved the box filled with flowers and the lovely brass candle holder. During these times, any refresh or setting of a table helps our emotional well being. Stay well Dianne and Bob!♥️
