“He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.” Luke 2:5
Hi sweet friends.
My SIL, Dora, invited me to an Advent Tea at her church, Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, on Sunday afternoon at 3 PM. Their FAB women group sponsors this tea every year. What a wonderful way to begin Advent.
We had a beautiful welcome and blessing by Melanie Hudson. There were 120 ladies attending. The tables were set up for eight people. Each table had a hostess who had designed a beautiful table. The tables were amazing. China, crystal and the most beautiful tablescapes that you could ever imagine.
This was our table. The teapot looked like something from Cinderella’s castle. We had sweet little gifts to bring home..hand lotion, nail file and a wrapped chocolate truffle.
Our table was hosted by the beautiful Sena Allison.
We enjoyed special music by Mr. Jess T. Mills IV. He arranged the music and was accompanied by Mrs. Betty Louie, Cellist and the FAUM choir. They did the most beautiful arrangement of “How Great Thou Art.”
Our guest speaker was truly outstanding. Mollie Ashe Scott, PharmD spoke about “Mary’s Journey”. Mollie reminded us that Mary and Joseph’s journey was 90 miles. What a blessing to hear Mollie speak.
Thank you Dora. This really touched my heart. Thank you for taking me on some of your special journeys.
Thank you again Dora. You are a great blessing to so many. May we all remember that Jesus is with us on every Journey.
Dianne
