Hi friends,
This is my backyard a week ago but with lots of wind and freezing temperatures the last few days most of the leaves are in the yard or my back porch. Everywhere I have been, I have seen the most beautiful display of pumpkins. Just a little pictorial of one of fall’s greatest gifts…pumpkins.
Fall is the best season but it’s also the shortest. Before you know it, the last leaf is trembling on the branch and the birds have flown to their wintering grounds.
Pumpkin pie, hot cider, pumpkin latte! “The heat of autumn is different from the heat of summer. One ripens apples, the other turns them to cider.”
The last four photos were taken at Blowing Rock.
Grandad’s Apples but they have lots of pumpkins.
“Come little leaves” said the Wind one day. “Come to the meadows with me and play. Put on your dresses of red and gold; for summer is past and the days grow cold.” George Cooper
A little place in Hendersonville, NC “Every leaf speaks bliss to me fluttering from the autumn tree.” Emily Bronte
Last two in Biltmore Village.
Five minutes from my house at an antique shop.
Let’s be honest: you can’t celebrate fall without its leading role-pumpkin!
