Bob and I have been taking some day trips within a short distance of our home. We recently went to our second home for some serious flower therapy and relaxation…Biltmore.
The sunflowers are amazing and the bees were really enjoying them.
As far as we could see…..sunflowers!
Each sunflower can contain as many as 1,000 to 2,000 seeds.
Sunflowers are native to the Americas and were domesticated around 1000 B.C.
Bob is such a great sport. He allowed me to photograph him in the sunflowers.
The wild flowers were making great companions to the sunflowers.

The French word for sunflower is “tournesol”, which means “turns with the sun.”
Bob sneaked this picture with his phone. I am very intense trying to get these pictures just right.
There are about 70 species of sunflowers.
