This is How My Garden Grows

Happy Friday Friends,

After returning from Boone last week, I immediately went to my garden as I had expected the peonies to bloom while I was away.  Sure enough they were blooming as well as the knock outs and others.  I was delighted and I want to share a little walk with you through my early garden.  I have done no new planting this year but have some spots to fill in.

The peonies and iris were all transplanted from Mother’s.

Bob calls this one Thelma as it came from Mother’s and it is a unique.

Is this ruffled rose not beautiful.  I have to take a pic to BB Barnes so they can give me its proper name.

Last year we planted the honeysuckle for my swing arbor.  It is blooming and already climbing over the top.

This one is special….waiting for it to bloom.

So much work to do here but you can see how serene this area might be.

Every time I do a post from my garden, I see all the work that needs to be done.  Dead leaves, empty spots and empty pots.  However, I don’t fret about it.  I just enjoy it. Thank you for coming along.

  1. What a beautiful stroll on this early Sunday morning. I would love to find myself sitting in the swing smelling the fragrant honeysuckle. Your roses, irises, and peonies are just beautiful and I love the new bench that Bob gave you. Happy Sunday dearest Dianne!
