Hi Friends,
I have heard some say that there are three things that add joy to life: 1. a sense of purpose 2. someone to love and 3. something to look forward to. I cannot say that I totally agree with this but all three contribute immensely to our lives. The first thing on my list is my relationship with God and I love a lot of people in my life.
Bob and I have had something to look forward to for a year. We have traveled very little in the last 13 years. We had responsibility that didn’t allow for a lot of travel.
Bob and I are going on a two week excursion with my brother, Gordon, and SIL, Dora. We are going to Orlando, Florida and then to Port Canaveral to board the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship for a seven day cruise. We will meet Gordon and Dora in Orlando. They are already traveling in other parts of Florida. They are wonderful traveling companions and Dora makes all our traveling arrangements. She is one amazing person.
The Leu Gardens are so beautiful in February. I hope to make a visit there.
We stay at the Vacation Village at Parkway in a beautiful condo. Many days we can be found sitting by the pool relaxing. Beautiful accommodations here. Photo from last year.
Bob and I love Charlie’s Steakhouse…the most upscale steakhouse I have ever been and the food and service is awesome. We spent our anniversary there last year.
These chandeliers were everywhere in this restaurant. I just had to get a picture of one. Last year our waiter overheard it was our anniversary so they sent a bottle of wine to the table compliments of the house with an engraved Happy Anniversary card. The manager made a special trip to the table where we were offered more congratulations and complimentary dessert. Food unbelievable!
Oh yes, the Town of Celebration will be on the list of places to go. Bob and I have two new restaurants we want to introduce Gordon and Dora at Celebration.

After a week in Orlando and Celebration, we head to Port Canaveral to board the Oasis of the Sea. We will visit the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We are so excited to spend this quality time with Gordon and Dora.
Less than two weeks away and we will begin this trip that we have looked forward to for a whole year!
“Something to look forward to” ………….I agree! In December you have already scoped out neat places to introduce to Dora and Gordon. The Oasis days will bring wonderful memories and a photo book like none other. Happy for you and Bob.
Dianne, I am so glad you are getting to travel. You have a fun trip that is planned. I have been to the islands that you will be visiting and I know you will enjoy. I am so happy for you sweet friend!
