Blue and White Vignettes

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation , by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:4-7

Hi Friends,

At the beginning of the new year  I try to infuse a little calm.  Few color combinations rival timeless blue and white. It always feels fresh and looks effortlessly stylish.

I started with my mantle.  I added a green wreath for the mirror, white roses in my favorite flower container, and several ginger jars.

This dinnerware belonged to Mother.  The little cows are from her collection…salt and pepper shakers and toothpick holder.

The collie dog that Connie gave me….a reminder of Mother and Dad’s beloved collie named Susie. Candlestick and blue candle belonged to Mother.

Bob and I have enjoyed many mornings and evenings by the fireplace this year.  I have enjoyed sharing my attempt to refresh our home with this duo of blue and white. It sure makes for a calming atmosphere. Thank you for joining me this cold January day.

  1. Dianne, blue and white are timeless for certain. Your mantel is so pretty, as well as your table. The blue and white collection is a stunning statement anytime, but especially in January. Stay warm my sweet friend!
