Beauty is found everywhere in God’s amazing creation. I look around and frequently say how blessed I am. What does it mean to be blessed? I believe we are blessed because we have a relationship with the Creator. We are not blessed because we are rich or poor or that some suffer and others do not. Remember Job. He was blameless before God. We are blessed because He lives and we have relationship with Him.
Bob and I spent several days last week at Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. Blowing Rock is about an hour and half from Asheville. Fall was everywhere and I want to share some of the beauty of Fall in BR.
A split rail fence has a special character and beauty. I love it it stacked high next to the forest.
A wagon full of fall flowers caught my eye immediately.
Displays of pumpkins and unusual gourds everywhere.
A window box making a beautiful statement.
Lots of small cottages and log cabins. We might stay in one of these next time.
We stayed at Meadowbrook Inn. This is a gazebo on the Meadowbrook property.
The Last Straw—-my favorite shop. Made it out without buying anything.
More beauty at Meadowbrook.
Bob really loved this piece of driftwood.
I think this is called an airplane plant. Bob says it is a helicopter plant. I will research later.
I hope you find a bit of joy through the lens of my camera and through my eyes. These little getaways refreshes the body, mind and soul. We are so blessed to live in a place of such beauty.
