I know that Fall is just around the corner and I get pretty excited. It is my favorite time of the year. I want to enjoy (relish in) the last weeks of summer and not get too ahead of myself. What can be a more perfect ending to a summertime meal than peach cobbler.
Before making this very simple cobbler, I wanted to set a table with this beautiful fruit.
These beautiful cups that match perfectly were a gift from Connie.
This matching serving platter matches the cups.
I’ve had this tablecloth for several years. It has a fall touch to it with the bounty of the season displayed. Absolutely love it!
The purple bowls just pull everything together. Using my wooden handled utensils from Pier I to partner with my wooden chargers.
My Mother’s sweet little plate holds the peach I am fixing for a little snack.
My recipe for my cobbler is easy: 1 cup self rising flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 stick of butter and 4 cups fresh peach slices. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Something that easy should not be so delicious. A small scoop of ice cream for the top. If you are short on time, this is a perfect alternative.
Blessings to everyone and thanks for dropping by,
