Summer’s Melody

My garden has not performed like I have expected this year but when I look back over the beautiful blooms, I think WOW. I’ve had some amazing blooms and my garden is so much a part of my life. I am so happy to be joining Pam at Gardens Galore with a sampling from my garden.
These are the roses I planted this year to climb my Cinderella arbor. I was not disappointed when I saw the first full bloom.
One of my peonies that bloomed months ago that I transplanted from Mother’s.
I have had this piece of statuary for as long as I can remember. It gives character to my garden.
One of my early blooming pink hydrangeas.
I have five or six of these yellow day lilies planted throughout my garden. Adds lots of color to my garden.
This was Mother’s little bird feeder. I love it in the tall grass.
We enjoy the birds and we attract quite a variety. Two of these feeders in my garden.
We really enjoy this patio which is part of the garden area. This is an old glider Mother left for me.
This was one of my great surprises when this indigo bunting showed up.
I have enjoyed giving you this little tour and I will enjoy seeing many of your gardens today.
Dianne, your garden is lovely. Your roses are gorgeous and the pink peony is a beauty. Your pieces of statuary are so pretty and they add such charm to a garden. I have the exact feeder like your mom’s. We also enjoy the birds and what a treat to have an Indigo Bunting visit. We will see them in the countryside, upon occasion, here in West Virginia. I think they are glorious. Your patio area is so inviting, I could spend hours with a wonderful book in that spot. I so enjoyed my visit, thank you for sharing the beauty you have created.

What a DELIGHT to have an indigo bunting visit. I would be “over the moon” if one came to my garden. Birds are so delightful but hard to photograph!
All your flowers are lovely but I must say the rose on your arbor pulled at my heart strings!

Bonnie, I would love the opportunity to sit in either of our gardens and talk for hours. My garden is fading but my sedum is coming along nicely. God has provided us a beautiful world.
