I did a blog recently on Mother’s Garden. She had made lots of pictures of her garden. In one of the photos was her dog Susie. A few weeks later Connie delivered this beautiful dog from her prized collection. She had bought this at a special gift shop probably forty years ago. A little tear slipped down my cheek when I unwrapped him and this Susie is now in my prized collection. Connie, don’t ever tell it was alligator tears right in the middle of a nice restaurant. Thank you Connie.
Connie and I had lunch at Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate today in celebration of her birthday. There were beautiful new flowers at the entrance to the Estate. Mother used to call these cockscomb since the flower looks like the head of a rooster.

I am of the opinion that God places special people in our life. They are God’s gift to us. I am so thankful, Lord, for my friend Connie.
