Every now and then I deviate from my normal blogging and stop and celebrate someone very important in my life. This is my grandson, Davis. He turns 14 today. There are lots of pictures. I just couldn’t stop.
This is my beloved grandson, Davis. He is 14 years old today. He is 6 ft. tall and wears a size 12 shoe. Happy Birthday Davis. There is so much I want to say about you. I want to say how hard you have challenged yourself to accomplish such high scores academically. You are very smart but you have worked very hard. Congratulations! Oma is so proud of you. I am most proud of your character…you are the most honest person I know.
You and I have always had a deep bond. You have been able to make Oma feel better when she needed a hug or when we wink at each other, we know what we are saying. There is no way I can tell you how much I love you.
You have always been so handsome!
A great reader!
Just a few pictures through the years of my amazing boy!
You have always been so good to your sister, Maddie!
You and Papa have a deep bond also. We both love you so much!
Mom has made us wear that silly birthday hat forever…but we really love it.
Last year’s birthday! WOW
Davis is on the Asheville Rowing team. He is extremely dedicated to his sport and to his team. His team has won the Gold at Chattanooga and Oak Ridge and brought home the Silver at High Point this Fall. They were only 10 seconds behind the winner at High Point. The work they put into this is amazing to me.
Davis has on the visor.
Rob and Jenn, Davis’ parents, at the Regatta at High Point.
Maddie and Bentley too!
Oma and Papa there too!
Dianne, what a handsome young man and I know you and Bob along with his parents are so proud of him! I loved every picture that you shared. You have a beautiful family and a special Happy Birthday to Davis!!! I do like your grandmother name, Oma! Have a wonderful week!
I just can’t help myself when it comes to these grandchildren. My heart just overflows with love for them. I love children period. I love it when you share your family. I always pray that I will have a positive influence on them.
Pam, I have to tell you one special thing. When Maddie was born, Davis ask Mom what Maddie was going to call me. Of course, she said Oma and Davis said no…she is my Oma. Sweet, unforgettable moment!
Dianne, what a wonderful memory! Love it~
Dianne, I just know Davis enjoyed his #14 Happy Birthday! Loved all the milestone pics. So many memories included with family members. The photo of him strumming guitar is a favorite for me. Hoping his year ahead is great.

I just get beside myself with these grandchildren as you know. I love the guitar picture too. It was a sweet celebration after they returned from the Regatta on Sunday.
