I have taken a few pictures of my late bloomers and a few rock garden pictures and decided I should share these. Fall is my favorite season but I find myself wanting to hold on to this summer flower splendor. As summer starts to wind down, there are a few empty spots in my garden,
I knew I was not going to see this again this year so I took one more before it slips away.
I live in a neighborhood named Ledgestone so we see many beautiful rock gardens.
My grass is coming along nicely..makes a beautiful backdrop for lantana.
This is a tiger lily I transferred from Mother’s garden. It’s head is so heavy I had to hold it up for picture.
Maddie knows I love this garden. She brought this cute house covered with bird seed as a gift to me and we found a place in the garden for it.
Mother loved dahlias and had so many colors. Yesterday at Lake Julian I spotted a small patch. This purple color is inspiring.
My Hydrangeas are so beautiful.
These are volunteers from last year…a sweet gift that brightens my patio.
Beauty is all around us…simple, unbelievable, beauty!
Look what the birds gifted me! Awesome!
“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” – John Lubbock The Use of Life
With Joy, Dianne
Dianne, your beautiful garden is still bursting with vibrant colors. The yellow and pink lantana’s just one of my favorites. I love the citrus scent and this is a favorite of butterflies! Oh my, your lime light hydrangeas are just more than picture perfect. Maddie just knew you would love the seed bird house.
Connie
Connie, the butterflies have been all over the lantana this morning. My roses have buds again. I am so excited. Thank you for your constant encouragement. Dianne
